19 People Have : Died As A New Result of Tennessee Winter Storms.
The Tennessee Department of Health reports that Middle Tennessee has been the site of five of the 19 deaths.
Tennessee’s NASHVILLE (WSMV) – Following a winter storm that swept through Tennessee this week, the Tennessee Department of Health has confirmed that 19 people have died due to the cold.

The TDH verified two more deaths on Friday night, bringing the total number of weather-related fatalities to 19.
The following counties are where the deaths occurred:
Shelby County has seven.
Hickman County has one.
Madison County has one.
In Washington County, two
One each in Knox County and Carroll County
Van Buren County has one.
Lauderdale County has one.
Henry County has one.
In Marshall County, two
A single instance in Roane County
Five of those fatalities were caused by weather took place in the region of Middle Tennessee.

As severe winter weather strikes the Midstate, the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency announced that Nashville’s State Emergency Operations Center has been activated at a Level 4 Elevated to support local requests.
