Mohn described his father as a national traitor for working for the federal government for twenty years, and he described himself as a militia commander.

Following the discovery of his father’s body inside their Middletown Township, Bucks County, home on Tuesday night, a Pennsylvania man has been charged.

According to police, the victim’s son, 32-year-old Justin Mohn, has been charged with multiple offenses, including first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse.

Mohn is charged with decapitating his father, Michael F. Mohn, 68, as well as uploading a scary video to YouTube.

Around 7 p.m., officers were called to the 100 block of Upper Orchard Drive in response to reports of a severed head when the victim’s spouse returned home to find him bloodied and severed.

According to a police affidavit, when officers arrived, they discovered the victim’s head inside a plastic bag in a kitchen pot placed in a first-floor bedroom, and his body in the first-floor bathroom.

Officers reported finding a machete and a large kitchen knife in the bathtub, along with bloody rubber gloves in a second-floor bedroom.

“The crime itself is not something we usually see here,” Captain Pete Feeney of the Middletown Township Police Department stated.

The wife then reported to the police that her son and her husband’s white Toyota Corolla had vanished.

Authorities claimed that the over 14-minute YouTube video, “Mohn’s In the video “Militia – Call to Arms for American Patriots,” Justin Mohn was seen naming his father and picking up his severed head.

Mohn appeared to be reading from a script as he attacked the government, according to the police.

Mohn described his father as a national traitor for working for the federal government for twenty years, and he described himself as a militia commander.

In the graphic YouTube video, he read from a script, mentioned President Joe Biden, and made threats against several federal agencies.

“There’s plenty of evidence to process, I’m sure they’ll be reviewing that video,” Feeney stated.

By pinging Mohn’s cell phone to Fort Indiantown Gap in Lebanon County, which is approximately 100 miles from the crime scene, the police claimed to have been able to track him down.

Lockdown was imposed by local police.

His cell phone was pinged again close to the facility’s western boundary while the officers searched further. Officers discovered the Toyota Corolla abandoned when they got there.

Mohn was discovered by the officers inside the fort installation.

According to Pennsylvania National Guard Communications Director Angela Watson, he scaled the fence and was discovered in possession of a gun.

About 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, he was taken into custody without any problems.

Why he was in that area is unknown.

Middletown Township Police Chief Joseph Bartorilla stated, “I think the neighborhood can rest easy because I think they were a little uneasy for a while before they knew where the person of interest was.”

According to Bartorilla, the son resided in the Levittown house on Upper Orchard Drive.

“I am sad for the family, I am very sad for the community and also for the people that knew him,” he said.

That caused a great deal of distress in our neighborhood. In any neighborhood,” Middletown Township resident Ellen Stupak remarked.

Mohn was arraigned early on Wednesday and detained without bail. He had also been arrested on suspicion of possessing weapons. He has a hearing scheduled on February 8.

“He was taken into custody by our department’s officers when they drove up to Fort Indiantown Gap, and they then returned him to Bucks County for his arraignment.

Judge Guyer brought him back here and arraigned him at four in the morning,” Bartorilla said.

Residents claim they were worried for their safety while police searched for Mohn.

“A gun-wielding radical like that? Yes, I was worried,” Stupak admitted.

“Since we live alone, we made sure our doors were locked when they claimed he was at large.

We’re two elderly people living alone, so we had no idea what was going on,” Maureen Schoettle, a neighbor, continued.

The Bucks County district attorney’s office did not anticipate making a public statement, according to a spokesman regarding the case on Wednesday.

Court documents for Mohn on Wednesday morning did not list a lawyer, and a message asking for an explanation on his behalf was left at a phone number associated with him.

According to records from the court clerk’s office, he was not represented by an attorney.

Investigations are still ongoing to determine the killing’s motive.
