A warning from the Weather Prediction Center of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration states that flash flooding may occur in San Diego County in the next few hours as heavier rainfall moves into the region.

For the next hour or so, there is a flash flood warning in effect for Riverside County, southeast Orange County, and northwest San Diego County. As the rain gets heavier, more flash flooding could occur.

Rainfall totals in San Diego County could range from 1 to 2 inches, with an hourly rainfall of 0.25 to 0.75 inches possible.

Moderate risk: Over the course of a few hours in Southern California, there is a moderate risk of excessive rainfall, or a level 3 of 4.
