Iran is on high alert while Biden considers his response to the US servicemen’s death.
Tehran alerts Washington, but the regime is unclear how much it will back interventionist foreign policy.
Through intermediaries, Iran has warned the US that if it launches a direct attack on Iranian territory, Tehran will retaliate by attacking US assets in the Middle East, bringing the two countries into direct combat.
The warning comes as Washington believes that three US servicemen who died in Syria were killed by a militia backed by Tehran. Iran is on high alert to see how Joe Biden will react to this development.
Since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, there have been over 160 attacks on US bases in Syria and Iraq, ranging in severity.
Concerned about a US retaliation, Even as Tehran maintained that the strike was the result of independent “resistance groups,” Iran’s standard response to US accusations that it arms and trains these groups to spread military unrest throughout the region, the Iranian rial dropped to its lowest level in 40 years against the US dollar.

The Iranian foreign ministry summoned Simon Shercliff, the British ambassador, on Tuesday as tensions increased, demanding that the UK retract its claims that Iran is trying to intimidate Iranian dissidents who are living in Britain.
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iran’s foreign minister, made a resolute statement that the region’s events continued to move Iran’s way.

He claimed that the White House was well aware that the current situation and the carnage in the besieged Gaza Strip needed “a political solution ” throughout the Middle East.

Iran’s deputy interior minister, Seyyed Majid Mirahmadi, met with his Syrian counterparts to discuss the crisis and reiterated that the so-called “axis of resistance” was close to victory, with a US attack on Iranian positions inside Syria being considered the most likely course of action.

According to Zarif, Israel’s war strategy is based on three principles: the conflict must occur outside of Israel, it must be unexpected, and it must come to an immediate end.
He claimed that the attack of October 7 had undermined Israel’s three military policy pillars as well as its two foreign policy axes.
However, Iran also faces difficulties of its own: Kurdistan has seen unrest following the execution on Monday of four Kurds who the regime had accused of working with the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad.

Pictures of abandoned streets and closed businesses in Sanandaj, Saqqez, Mahabad, Bukan, Dehgolan, and other cities are making the rounds on the internet.
