Marianne Williamson :T20 Halts Bid For President
On Wednesday night, Marianne Williamson declared that her Democratic presidential campaign is coming to an end.
In a video aired on social media, the 71-year-old author declared that “it is time to suspend my campaign for the presidency.”
“We tried our best to bring some light during some extremely gloomy moments. I will always be so appreciative of that,” Williamson remarked.
She made her announcement the day after President Biden handily defeated her in the Democratic primary in Nevada.

Last year, Williamson and Rep. Dean Phillips made long shots attempts to unseat Mr. Biden from his running mate for the presidency. Phillips is still competing.
“Marianne Williamson is a brave, strong, and compassionate citizen of the United States who has been egregiously mistreated by a system intended to accomplish precisely that,” Phillips wrote late on Wednesday on social media.
“It has been an honor to run with her, and I will tenaciously uphold our common ideals.
Marianne, we are so grateful for you.

Williamson and Phillips squared off in a New Hampshire debate on January 8 in the hopes of winning without Mr. Biden, who declined to participate in the state’s Democratic primary.
But, Granite State allies’ successful write-in campaign on Mr. Biden’s behalf gave the president the win and all but ended the hopes of his rivals for the White House.
Prior to withdrawing from the 2020 Democratic primary, Williamson fired every member of her staff missing the polling and funding requirements for every debate save the first.

She experienced issues with her campaign this cycle as well, going through three different campaign managers during her brief run.
Her most recent campaign manager, Carlos Cardona, left her campaign the day after the New Hampshire primary, according to CBS News.
