Results of the New York Third Congressional District Special Election
There are exceptionally high stakes in the special House election in New York to replace George Santos, as it affects both the balance of power in the House immediately and the general elections in November.
It matches Tom Suozzi, a Democrat who held the seat prior to Santos, against Mazi Pilip, a little-known local legislator who served in the Israeli military.
The surge of migrants at the border is the main national issue on which the two candidates have clashed.
