At a New Hampshire rally, the South Carolina Republican offered the former president his support.
On Friday night, Sen. Tim Scott gave Donald Trump his support at a rally in New Hampshire.
“Today, we require a president who will seal the southern border. The Republican from South Carolina exclaimed, “We need Donald Trump,” to applause at a Concord Trump event.
“We require a president who can bring our nation together. Donald Trump is essential to us. Scott stated, “We need a president who will protect your Social Security and my momma’s Social Security,” emphasizing the importance of repeatedly saying Trump’s name.

The senator had challenged Trump for the Republican nomination but withdrew when the latter failed to gain momentum in the polls.
His choice to return Trump was a setback for fellow South Carolina Republican Nikki Haley, who hopes to do well in the upcoming primary in New Hampshire.

While acting as the Palmetto state governor in 2012, Haley nominated Scott to the United States Senate.
Scott’s decision was first reported by The New York Times.
While on the campaign trail on Friday, Haley responded to the news of the endorsement.

She found it intriguing that Trump, who said he wanted to “drain the swamp,” was siding with all the Washington insiders. “However, the guys will do what the guys will do.”
