The storm’s effects will also be felt in the Southeast and Gulf Coast starting on Monday afternoon and continuing into Tuesday.

In these areas, about 70 million people are at risk of experiencing severe weather, including tornadoes, strong winds, and flooding rain.
A few tornadoes are probably going to be produced as the storm moves through Monday afternoon and into the night, affecting cities like Gulfport, Mississippi, Mobile, Alabama, and New Orleans, Louisiana.
In just 72 hours, the swift system will travel over 1,800 miles and produce significant snowfall throughout more than six states.
Following another strong storm that brought more than a foot of snow to the Northeast over the weekend, along with rain, snow, ice, and a tornado, which carved a path from the Gulf Coast to Maine, comes the winter weather.

There have been major operational disruptions reported by certain airports. Bradley International Airport, which is located close to Hartford, Connecticut, declared on Sunday that 20% of its flights had been canceled due to snow removal efforts.
