A driver in the Los Angeles region perishes after his car hydroplanes in the face of intense rain.

Parts of Southern California are still experiencing intense rains. Early on Friday, a driver in Los Angeles County lost his life when his car hydroplaned, crashed, and submerged in water.

After wrecking havoc on some roads, an atmospheric river brought heavy rains and coastal flooding to parts of Southern California, where the death occurred in the city of Carson.

Sgt. Roberto Catalan of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told CNN that the driver was traveling south on Avalon Boulevard when the collision occurred at approximately 3:40 a.m.
