Wandrea “Shaye” Moss, a former Georgia election worker, told jurors on Tuesday that she is terrified for her life after Rudy Giuliani and other supporters of Donald Trump falsely accused her of fraud.

She also suffers from panic attacks and struggles with nightmares brought on by a deluge of racist and threatening messages.

On the second day of the defamation trial, Wandrea “Shaye” Moss went on the witness stand.

The trial’s outcome will determine the amount of money that the former mayor of New York City must pay Moss and her mother, Ruby Freeman, for spreading a conspiracy theory that they had rigged the state’s 2020 election results.

Moss pointed out that just one day prior, following the When the trial started, it was repeated how her mother and she were “engaged in changing votes,” among other false accusations.

She informed Giuliani’s attorney, “I personally cannot repair my reputation at this time because your client is still lying on me and further ruining my reputation.”

She sobbed as she testified, saying the accusations had completely upended her life, even though state officials had refuted them right away.

Her attorneys presented a selection of the graphic messages that she received, falsely accusing her of treason and more, following Giuliani’s December 2020 false accusations of ballot tampering at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

“My biggest fear is that my mom or son will discover me hanging from a tree in front of our house.”
having to learn that his mother had died at school,” the 39-year-old remarked.

She claimed that in January 2021, someone threatened to make a “citizen arrest” and showed up at her grandmother’s door.

Moss stated, “I pray most days that God does not wake me up and I just disappear.”

In addition to preparing to defend himself against criminal charges in a separate Georgian case, Giuliani is being sued by Moss and her mother for tens of millions of dollars in damages in the defamation case.

In the criminal case accusing him and others of plotting to reverse Donald Trump’s defeat in the state’s 2020 election, Giuliani has entered a not guilty plea. He has refuted any misconduct.

The trial is taking place at assertions made at a legislative hearing in Georgia.

Moss told jurors she believed her director wanted to give her a promised promotion or commend her for her work on elections. Rather, the atmosphere in the room was solemn, and she quickly discovered the true purpose of the gathering.

“All of the things that had been going on that I was unaware of, including these videos and lies,” Moss remarked.

Moss claimed that after returning home that evening feeling terrified and perplexed, she could only observe the stream of irate messages.

In an attempt to regain some of her anonymity, she had her long blonde hair chopped off and dyed the following day. She tried to flee the harassment by moving out of her house, but people have discovered her.

She told the jurors her new address. She claimed that about two months ago, a picture of her face torn from the newspaper was mailed.

“I feared for my life,” Moss remarked, “I literally felt like someone was going to try to hang me and there was nothing that anyone could do about it.

Throughout Moss’s testimony, Giuliani paid close attention, frequently pausing to take notes or speak with his attorney. Giuliani’s testimony is anticipated.

Moss’ testimony was given several hours after the judge chastised Giuliani for remarks he made on Monday outside the federal courthouse, during which he maintained that his allegations regarding the women were true.

“When I testify, it will be abundantly evident that everything I said was accurate and that, whatever transpired, Everything I said about them is true, which is regrettable given other people’s overreactions, Giuliani informed reporters.

Giuliani went on to say that Freeman and Moss were “changing votes.” Giuliani retorted, “You’re damn right there is,” in response to a reporter who pushed back, claiming there was no proof of that. Pay attention.

Giuliani’s attorney was forewarned by U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell that his client had made “defamatory statements about them yet again” by his remarks.

The judge was dubious and questioned Giuliani’s attorney about the inconsistency of the former mayor’s opening remarks, in which he referred to Freeman and Moss as “good people,” and his subsequent repetition of baseless accusations of voter fraud.

“What steps should we take to make that right?” she questioned the attorney.

Sibley agreed with her and informed the judge that he had talked about the remarks.

he continued, “I can’t control everything he does,” with his client. Additionally, he contended that the mayor’s advanced age and health issues make lengthy court days difficult.
