A peculiar amount of unclean laundry from the West Wing is currently airing regarding a former employee, providing a clear glimpse into both President Biden and one of the cornerstones of Bidenworld culture.
Driving the news: The Daily Mail, a London tabloid with risqué online U.S. coverage that regularly features Hunter Biden, is gathering a surprising number of President Biden’s former and current aides, at least six of them, to tell behind-the-scenes stories.
The reason why everyone is talking is that Michael LaRosa, the former press secretary for the First Lady, broke the Biden omertà and frequently made fun of the Biden campaign strategy on social media and cable TV.

Many of LaRosa’s former coworkers were enraged for months as he continued to there was a rare Biden spectacle when CNN, MSNBC, and other media started questioning the Biden team.
Since Biden’s staff works for the principal, whom they refer to as “the Boss,” they are strongly discouraged from engaging in any form of self-promotion.
What they’re saying is: “I don’t believe there is a world in which this First Lady is pleased with her husband’s team seeking out the same British tabloid that regularly smears and lies about her son, to do the same to her former press secretary, who traveled by her side for three years,” LaRosa said to Axios.

A spokesperson for the White House stated: “As Axios knows, having White House officials quoted on background in an unauthorized way does not mean the White House spent time on something.”
In between the words: fidelity is the most important thing to Biden aides, and being accused of betraying him—whether right or wrong—is a surefire way to be banished from most of Bidenworld.
After leaving the White House, a few former aides were taken aback by the way their bosses would both openly and covertly commend them for their “loyalty.”
They interpreted it as a warning not to stray as well as a compliment.
Different feelings were expressed by one Biden aide, who stated, “I’ve never heard anything that could be interpreted like that, only thanking people for their work and friendship and shouting out their good qualities.”
While many of LaRosa’s former colleagues disagreed with his strategic points, those who did not want to offend their old colleagues by speaking out have kept quiet.
Some ex-Biden assistants believe the rivalry is ultimately useless.
“We have always kept our internal disagreements internal and it is unfortunate that these recent internal conflicts are spilling out into the public,” one of them told Axios.
Close up: In order to raise his public profile after leaving the White House in the summer of 2022, LaRosa overstated his role there, according to current and former Biden aides who spoke with the DailyMail.
“This whole idea that he was this very senior insider and was like very close to the president or First Lady, and focused on the campaign and political strategy, that could not be farther from the truth,” a White House colleague told The Daily Mail.

LaRosa incensed former coworkers even more by disparaging the Biden campaign for allegedly considering the reinstatement of TJ Ducklo, the former deputy press secretary who left the White House a few weeks into the Obama administration after allegedly becoming aggressive toward a reporter in an off-the-record phone call.
Ducklo’s return, according to LaRosa, is “a stunning lack of judgment by those whom he entrusted to responsibly staff his reelection campaign,” she said to Politico earlier this year.
She cited the president’s initial promise that if they “treat another colleague with disrespect, talk down to someone, I promise you I will fire you on the spot.”

Even among those who believe Ducklo acted inappropriately, he has broad loyalty inside Bidenworld as a staunch defender of Biden dating back to the 2020 primary campaign.
