Ruby Franke entered a guilty plea to four felony counts of second-degree aggravated child abuse when she first appeared in court wearing gray and white jail clothes abuse as a condition of a plea deal, according to USA Today.
In her plea of guilty, the former YouTuber said, “With my deepest regret and sorrow for my family and my children, guilty.”
Two of the six counts of child abuse that Franke was initially charged with in September were dropped as part of the plea agreement.

Judge John J. Walton accepted the plea deal, and Franke’s sentencing is scheduled for February 20. The agreement revealed claims of possession along with more details regarding the abuse of the children.
As per the plea agreement, Franke agreed to serve consecutive prison terms, with the judge having the final say over his sentence.
After the hearing, Franke was remanded to custody despite entering not guilty pleas to two additional counts, according to according to court documents, CBS News said.
According to the media outlet, if an individual knowingly or intentionally causes serious physical harm to a child or allows another person to cause serious physical harm to their child, they may be charged with second-degree aggravated child abuse.
A prison term of one to fifteen years is imposed for each charge.
In a statement released on Friday, Windward Law claimed that Franke was abused during the time she was influenced by a relationship counselor, who gave her “a distorted sense of morality.”

At first, Jodi Hildebrandt, Franke’s co-defendant, “had the insight to offer a path to continual improvement,” ” but claimed that Hildebrandt “twisted this quest into something heinous by taking advantage of it.”
As stipulated in the plea deal, Franke admits to torturing her son from May 22 to August 30.
The mistreatment included making him perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods of time without access to water, as well as “repeated and serious sunburns” that left blisters on his skin.
He was denied food or given very minimal meals, and he was kept alone with no access to electronic devices, books, or notebooks.
After he tried to flee in July, he was frequently handcuffed and had his hands and feet restrained.
Occasionally, ropes were used to join handcuffs, locking his hands and feet together while he was lying on his stomach, injuring his wrists and ankles as stipulated in the plea deal, his arms and legs were raised off the ground.
According to the details in the plea agreement, Franke also admitted to abusing her son by kicking him while wearing boots, submerging his head underwater, and covering his mouth and nose with her hands.
The agreement also says that “he was also told that everything that was being done to him was acts of love.”

George Police Department, Franke’s 12-year-old son was arrested on August 30 after he ran away from Hildebrandt’s home in the southern Utah city of Ivins and asked a neighbor to call the police.
