An arrest warrant for a 39-year-old man was issued by authorities in central Florida on Sunday.
The man is suspected of killing another man at a mall two days before Christmas, and the victim was allegedly “targeted.”
The suspect was still at large as of Sunday afternoon, and the Ocala Police Department was offering a $5,000 reward for information that led to his capture.

According to the police department, the arrest warrant was issued for both attempted and premeditated first-degree murder.
Chief of Ocala Police Mike Balken informed reporters on Saturday night that the victim was shot several times in a shared area at Paddock, resulting in his death.
A mall in Ocala, roughly 127 kilometers (about 80 miles) northwest of Orlando.
A woman was shot in the leg as well. She received care at a nearby hospital, and Balken said she should make a full recovery.
According to Balken, the gun was left behind when the suspect ran from the scene.
Overnight, Ocala police released images of an individual of interest that seemed to have been captured by a mall security camera. A man wearing dark clothes and a red cap is depicted in the three pictures.
Balken had earlier claimed that the suspect had on a mask that partially obscured his face and a hooded sweatshirt.
The police department threatened to charge anyone who removed the suspect’s hat from the crime scene with tampering with evidence if they did not turn it over to investigators on Sunday proof.

“We need that hat back, as it may contain valuable DNA evidence,” the Ocala Police Department posted on social media. We implore you to act honorably and come forward right now. There is not much time left.
Following a report of multiple shots being fired at the mall on Saturday, police arrived at the scene at 3:40 p.m.
Reporters were informed by Balken that “officers entered the mall immediately and eventually discovered that this was not what we would consider an active shooter.”
According to Balken, the assault was probably a “targeted act of violence” against the man.
According to authorities, a number of other mall visitors were hurt during the shooting; one reported having chest pain, while another claimed to have a broken arm.
The public has been requested by police to help by sending in footage captured on a mobile device of the shooting scene.

In a statement, WPG, the corporate owner of the mall, stated that they were assisting the Ocala Police Department with their investigation.
Sunday, the day before Christmas, was a closed mall.
We find this tragedy to be very sad. We are praying for everyone affected,” the statement read. “Our top priority is ensuring the safety of our guests, retailers, and employees.”
Numerous retailers, such as J.C. Penney and Foot Locker, can be found in the mall.
Diana and Calvin Amos, who were shopping at the J.C. Penney store, told the Ocala Star-Banner that as soon as they realized what was happening, they swiftly left the store. They characterized themselves as nervous and afraid.
