Trump’s son’s : Death Political Gain2024
Trump’s son’s death should not be used by an Ohio father for “political gain.”
A parent from Ohio has urged Donald Trump to desist from exploiting his son’s passing in a school bus accident that an immigrant from Haiti caused for “political gain”.
In August 2023, 11-year-old Aiden Clark perished in a school bus accident in Springfield, Ohio.
The little community has gained national attention due to unfounded allegations made by the Trump campaign regarding Haitian immigrants residing there.
Regarding Aiden, Trump’s running mate JD Vance said on Tuesday that “a child was murdered by a Haitian migrant” in a tweet on Twitter/X.
The message had reopened wounds, according to Aiden’s father Nathan, who stated as much in a city commission meeting later that day.
“They have mentioned my son’s name and abused his passing for personal benefit. This has to end right away.”
There was no murder of my son.
“A Haitian immigrant unintentionally killed him,” he went on.
The entire neighborhood, the state, and even the country have been affected by this catastrophe. But do not turn this into a hate speech.”
There have also been unfounded rumors spread by Trump and Vance regarding Haitian immigrants consuming pets in Springfield.
Shortly after Mr. Clark’s speech, Trump went on stage to reiterate those assertions in a presidential debate with Vice President Kamala Harris.
At the conference, Mr. Clark stated, “I wish that my son, Aiden Clark, was killed by a 60-year-old white man,” with his wife Danielle standing next to him.
“You probably never imagined that someone would say something as direct as this.
“But if that guy killed my 11-year-old son, the incessant group of hate spewing people would leave us alone.”
Hermanio Joseph, a Haitian immigrant without a driver’s license, was driving a van when it over the center line and struck Aiden’s school bus, killing him.
The bus flipped, throwing the boy from it and injuring a number of other kids.
Joseph received a nine-to thirteen-and-a-half-year jail term after being found guilty in May of both felony vehicular homicide and involuntary manslaughter.
Before the presidential debate on Monday, Trump’s campaign X account blasted Vice-President Kamala Harris’ immigration policy while displaying side-by-side photographs of Aiden and Joseph.
“REMEMBER: A Haitian immigrant that Kamala encountered killed 11-year-old Aiden Clark when he was walking to school.
Harris entered the nation at Springfield, Ohio, according to the caption. Harris, according to the report, “refused to say Aiden’s name”.
Vance posted his response the following day.
“They can vomit all the hate they want about illegal immigrants, the border crisis, and even untrue claims about fluffy pets being ravaged and eaten by community members,” Mr Clark said on Tuesday.
“However, they are not allowed, nor have they ever been allowed to mention Aiden Clark from Springfield, Ohio.”
Having the “worst day of our lives violently and constantly shoved in our faces” is what Mr. Clark and his family were experiencing right now.
“We hope the media will show the Clark family our deepest condolences for the loss of their son,” the Trump campaign told the BBC.
Will keep reporting on the tragedies and actual suffering that Springfield, Ohio residents have endured as a result of the flood of undocumented Haitian immigrants into their neighborhood.”
