On Christmas Eve, a shooting occurred in the Citadel Mall on Sunday afternoon, leaving one person dead and three others being transported to a nearby hospital.
According to the police, the call was placed at 4:30 p.m. They claim that when the shots were fired, two groups of people were fighting.
When police arrived on the scene, they say they discovered a man inside the mall dead. They add that two more men were seriously hurt by gunshot wounds and were brought to a nearby hospital.

Police claim that although a woman was also taken to a nearby hospital, her injuries were not from gunshot wounds and were only minor.

Additionally, according to police, the mall will reopen on Tuesday morning as scheduled following the holiday.

The shooting at the Citadel Mall is under investigation, according to Colorado Springs Police. They claim that the community is not in continuous danger and that the situation is under control.
