Weekend:1 A New Severe Weather Advisory Issued Florida.
The Storm Prediction Center has given Florida a marginal risk of severe weather on Saturday into Sunday morning.
Florida is currently in level one of the five severity levels; however, as the weekend draws near, level two bumps could occur in some areas of the state.
Chief Meteorologist Matt Devitt of the Weather Authority says the effects he anticipates in Florida will be like those of a tropical or subtropical storm.

Devitt predicts a washout on Saturday that will likely see one to three inches of rain on average, with a few isolated areas possibly seeing as much as four inches.
At the storm’s zenith, strong winds exceeding 20 to 35 mph are predicted. There could be power outages.

However, at this point, widespread outages are not anticipated.
Tornado formation from Saturday night into Sunday morning is currently not expected.
There is a chance of some beach erosion and coastal flooding.
